Cloud Computing
iTunes to the cloud?
The idea of cloud computing excites the minds of people for a long time. The concept consists in the ability of using minimal hard and software on the user’s computer. The whole data wouldn’t be installed or allocated on the computer itself, but it will be stored “in the cloud” and accessed through internet.
The internet giants such as Amazon and Google tend to develop themselves in this direction and more specifically in the digital music area. There were for example plenty of discussions the past two weeks about the Google’s possible willing to take over Spotify. And of course such company as Apple won’t stay behind new trends.
There are a lot of rumors around possible new launch of cloud service within the Itunes Store for Apple. One of them states that Apple purchased a domain iCloud.com from a Swedish company Xcerion for 4,5million dollars. Xcerion during last week has made a fast rebranding and changed their service icloud into CloudMe with a new site CloudMe.com.
