This lecture presented the history of games from T Tennis and Pong to Counter Strike and Warcraft and reminded that multiplayers games still have a bright future.
Sebastian Deterdin, human resources manager of Daedalic spoke then about “serious gaming”.
For information, Daleic develops games for companies and public services.
One of them is Winterfest a classic adventure, sponsored by the Bundesministerium fur Bildung und Forschung, supporting the fight against illiterates in Germany.
To complete this lecture about gamification, Christoph Weidner introduced us the possibility of serious gaming in a therapic field.
A good example is Dr. Bonneys Zappelix Zaubert, a game helping kids with concentration troubles (ADHS Kinder) in teaching them to focus on tasks.
OpenLeaks has been presented by Daniel Domschelt-Berg (co-founder and wikileaks ex-speaker). He spoke about a new (or at least another) way of distributing information and emphasized the importance of precisong a context in this news divagation. OpenLeaks can be compared to a “digital” dropbox. Daniel claims that distribution of leaks is just a service.
